I’ve been trying out some new gear from ARC’TERYX the past few weeks and its quickly become my favorite outfit for training and races.

ARC’TERYX Motus LS Crew – Women’s:  I love the cut of this shirt!  The fabric is light and smooth with a V-neckline which makes it a beautiful and comfortable shirt to pull on.  It has just the right amount of stretch and curve without being too form-fitted to make you self-conscious.  This shirt comes in 6 color options: I have the Mai Tai color which is so pretty. It’s a nice change from the typical pinks and blacks that you see all the time.  But not only is it lovely, it’s functional too.  This shirt is light-weight and breathable, but long-sleeved, making it perfect for spring running in New England.

The fabric is smooth and comfortable which allows for a sleek fit without cutting off your circulation.  I love the softer, breathable fabric just behind the knees and I’m pleased to find a 3/4 pant that stays in place and doesn’t bunch up at the knees after you get going.  These tights also have a small zippered pocket in the back which made it easy to reach my gels and lip balm on my last 10-miler.  The flat-seamed pocket is smooth against your back and doesn’t have any extra fabric that might get stuck when you re-zip it.  The high quality of these pants will make them a staple in my running closet for a long time, which helps balance out the hefty price-tag. You’ll be able to get significant miles out of them. (ARC’TERYX also offers a limited product guarantee.)

The Motus Crew paired with the 3/4 Running Tight makes for a high-quality, sleek, beautiful and functional running set.  One item to note about care of these products.  It’s recommended to wash in cold water and hang dry, so you’ll need to remind yourself to snag these pieces so they don’t go in the dryer.  I really like this gear. See you on the run!
