I’ve run in the UA Speedform Apollos for about three weeks, and I really like the shoes. They are very lightweight (6.8 oz), comfortable, well-ventilated, and there is plenty of room in the toe-box. The sole provides a nice contact feeling with the pavement, and the heel is secured nicely with an external heel cup.
The heel area is surprisingly well-cushioned. I’d expected a more rigid and minimal feel in a shoe designed for speed, but the added cushioning makes these shoes safer for racking up the miles. There is also a stability bar built into the shoe that helps keep your foot aligned properly. The UA Speedform Apollo can definitely be used for more than just racing, which helps runners with an all-in-one solution.
One of the best things about the Under Armour Speedform Apollo, aside from the looks, is the comfortable upper. The fabric has only one flat-welded seam. Under Armour has taken their athletic apparel know-how and applied it to the upper on this running shoe to produce a smooth, stylish and functional fit.
The Under Armour Speedform Apollo won the Runner’s World Best Debut 2014 Award (March 2014). You can see their review below.
