Brooks Launch 2 Shoe Review

Brooks Launch 2

Brooks has figured out how to make me run happy. The new Brooks Launch 2 is a neutral racing shoe with plenty of cushioning and a comfortable fit. Somehow, they have packaged it all up to weigh in at a breezy 9.8 ounces. It’s a shoe that begs for speed and new personal bests from 5 kilometers to the 26.2 miles.

The Brooks Launch 2 has a segmented crash pad under the heel which allows for soft landings and smooth heel-to-toe transition. The Cushsole runs the length of the shoe and provides comfort and flexibility. Running is the Brooks Launch 2 my footsteps were quiet and I felt connected to the surface of the road.

The Launch 2 features Brooks adaptive DNA midsole. By adapting to your specific weight, pace, gait and running surface, DNA offers customized cushioning and adds a spring to your step. The outsole features a durable rubber tread with reinforcements in the areas that see the most wear and tear.

The mesh upper provides excellent ventilation and has some nice accents that give it style points. Seams have been largely avoided by the use of synthetic overlays which adds to the comfort of the shoe. The heel cup is secure and the toe box allows for wiggle room and toe spread.

Brooks Launch 2 Road Test

I took my new Brooks shoes out for a 7-mile run a few days ago. It was supposed to be an easy run, but it soon became something closer to a progression workout as my pace kept dropping mile after mile. I felt great and the Brooks Launch 2 made my work easier.

The Brooks Launch 2 will be a very popular shoe. It’s lightweight and well-cushioned, making it a fantastic combination for many runners. The Brooks Launch 2 is ideal for road racing and training. And, with a price tag under $100, it’s a great value.

This is my favorite shoe of the year. I highly recommend you check out the Brooks Launch 2 if you’re in the market for a traditional running shoe. You can thank me later.
