Brooks Adrenaline GTS 15 Review

Brooks Adrenaline GTS 15 Review

“You’re all dressed in black and grey, but your shoes are like, packow-packow!” said my wife, with her fingers pointed like six-shooter pistols. She was admiring my new pair of Brooks Adrenaline GTS 15 running shoes in kaleidoscope nightlife electric blue. Yeah, they definitely make an impression, and they’re fun to wear.

The GTS is already Brooks best-selling shoe, and the 15th edition was awarded “Best Update” by Runner’s World magazine. Most noticeably, the segmented crash pad now extends the full length of the shoe. This provides a smoother landing and overall improved heel to toe transition. The midsole has a bit more cushion, and the overlays are mostly seamless which reduces possibility of irritation.

The Brooks Adrenaline GTS 15 is a great trainer for most runners. It provides security, stability, and comfort. The progressive diagonal roll bar will keep you supported in all the right places during your stride by gently slowing the internal rotation of the foot, providing exceptional support. This shoe is a good choice for beginners and those with moderate pronation.

Brooks Adrenaline GTS 15 Road Test

Brooks Adrenaline GTS 15 Road Test

I took the Brooks Adrenaline GTS 15 out for a long run on Sunday after racing a hilly 5K earlier that morning. I was hoping they’d give my feet some TLC and my tired legs a break. They lived up to their billing as a supportive and stable training shoe. The geometry of the shoe is very traditional in the sense that there is a sizable drop from heel to toe and there is plenty of built-in guidance.

Runners have said that the Adrenaline runs small, and I think they may be right. My feet are different sizes: 12.5 and 13, (weird… I know) and my smaller foot felt just right in my size 13’s. You’ll want to try them on, or just order them a size up if you do your shopping online.
